Loved this from the first moment I pulled it out and tried it out. Works well, solves a problem with ease and it is a neat little idea well executed. Definitely recommended.
The small size works like a charm. When I received the item, I thought it looked absolutely HUGE, but to my surprise, it works wonderfully. The outside plastic has a slight grippy texture making it easy to hold even if it gets wet from an unruly paw, and the top piece that holds the internal rubber spikey mat unscrews easily, and both pieces are well-threaded. The internal mat is easy to remove and clean and place back inside, and the entire device is sturdy, well-made, and easy to clean. And it works!
I call my dog to the door and see his paws are black, tell him to stay, squirt a pump of soap and fill this thing with hot water, grab a towel, and go to town. I stick his paws in, dry them off with a towel, and boom! No muddy paw prints through my house. Finn doesn’t mind having his feet cleaned, Mom doesn’t go crazy, and Dad is happy that Mom isn’t pissed. Everybody wins.
I have been looking for a paw washer as our great Dane has very bad allergies. After countless hours of looking and reviewing I went with this. I could not be more pleased It fits our 133lbs great Danes paw with room left over. The quality's great, not cheap or flimsy, and love the pink color. This is a MUST for dog paws
We have a dalmatian who likes to dig in the red dirt in our backyard and come back into our white decorated house, talk about a mess. Before to clean her off it was usually a team effort, one to hold her and one to run back and forth from the kitchen with wet paper towels, but with this, it was so easy to clean her by me! I only wish it was taller for her because she gets in the holes and her front legs are entirely orange, but with this, I can at least get her feet clean so that I can walk her to the bathtub or kitchen to finish up her legs. I would recommend this to anyone who has a pup with constantly dirty paws.
One thing I would also recommend is to get the dog used to it when their feet aren't dirty; we did it a couple of times when her feet were clean so that when we really needed it she wasn't freaking out and she was used to it. The first time we did it with clean paws she was freaking out and spilled the water everywhere...
This thing is great. It works for both dirty water/splattered kind of mud, and the thick stuff that is stuck between the toes. In fact, it works really well for the thick stuff because the bristles get in between and scoop it out. You do have to change the water very often; when it's really thick, you have to change it before you finish all four paws but it still beats spending ten minutes with three different rags and towels trying to scoop it out.
